This is a short story. Very, very, short.
About three ladybirds, who were never bored.
The story is surprising, but it’s not scary.
About three little bugs: Mary Ann,Polly and Mary.
They went to the same school every single day.
To learn a little, but mainly, to play.
They played the guitar, the piano and the flute,
and early in the morning used to pick some fruit.
They attended ballet lessons once or twice a week,
and danced in their tutus, which made them unique.
Mary Ann was cute, very clever, and tall.
Skipping the rope she was the best of them all.
Polly was gorgeous, like a little smiling queen.
The funniest insect that you‘ve ever seen.
Mary was pretty and really, really smart.
Always helping the others, she had a big heart.
They wanted to turn into girls, for once in their lives,
and called on a fairy, to ask for advice.
Why do you want to change? Aren’t you happy like this?
Your parents will miss you, if you become kids.
Our parents will miss us, no matter what we do.
Someday we’ll grow up. Please fairy, we’re begging you!
On one condition, I will twist your fate.
You’ll never remember your previous state.
And in no time at all, three girls they were,
always together, they went everywhere:
Off to the same school, to dance ballet,
to buy their fruit, to sing and to play.
They couldn’t remember they were born ladybirds,
who deep in the forest had learnt their first words.
Their parents were missing them, and feeling unwell,
visited the same fairy, who had made the same spell.
And in no time at all, human beings they were,
always with their kids, together everywhere.
This is a little secret that parents can’t tell:
You’re not a ladybird, because of a magic spell.
Cute!
Thanks Diana! We had a blast creating this one!
Cheers for now!
